Comanche ISD board votes to decline statutory SB 11 prayer resolution
The Comanche ISD Board of Trustees voted 7–0 on Feb. 9 to decline adoption of the statutory resolution described in Texas Education Code § 25.0823 (Senate Bill 11), formally recording that the district will not implement a board-adopted daily period of prayer and religious-text reading at this time.

The Comanche Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 7–0 on Feb. 9, 2026, to decline adopting the statutory resolution described in Texas Education Code § 25.0823, commonly associated with Senate Bill 11. The motion to decline was made by Member Clint Davis and seconded by Member Mike Furlong; the board recorded the vote and approved an Option B resolution stating the board "declines to adopt the statutory resolution described in Texas Education Code § 25.0823."
