The Damon ISD Board of Trustees voted 4–0 on Jan. 29 to approve an initial Grow Our Own contract template aimed at recruiting and supporting local noncertified staff through educator preparation and certification. Trustee Jason Soileau moved approval and Trustee Snoopy Long seconded.
