Devine ISD trustees elect officers, appoint governance committees
The Devine Independent School District Board of Trustees elected Nancy Pepper president, Carl Brown vice president and Keri James secretary; the board also approved membership for five governance committees and confirmed committee rosters by a 7–0 vote.

Nancy Pepper was elected president of the Devine Independent School District Board of Trustees by acclamation after a nomination from Trustee Carl Brown; Carl Brown was elected vice president after a nomination by Trustee Alixana Buvinghausen, and Keri James was elected secretary following a nomination from Trustee Chris Davis. Pepper resumed duties as presiding officer after the reorganization.
