The Ruidoso Municipal School District Board of Education convened a closed executive session during its June 29, 2026 special meeting to discuss the superintendent search. The meeting agenda states: "Pursuant to section 10-5-1 (H8) NMSA 1978, the Board will convene in Executive Session to discuss the Superintendent Search. No action will be taken in Executive Session." The board later reconvened in open session and approved engaging a search service.
