Technical Review Committee recommends planning-board discussion for Whispering Oaks time-extension request
The committee heard that Whispering Oaks (Assessor's Plat 43, Lots 15 & 91), a nine-lot subdivision approved Nov. 2024, has faced blasting and ledge problems and recommended staff and the applicant work toward a reasonable extension; the matter will go to the planning board on Aug. 26 for formal consideration.

Chair opened the matter of Whispering Oaks, noting the applicant asked to be placed on the Aug. 26 planning board agenda to request more time for a preliminary-plan approval. "This application was approved back in November 2024," the Chair said, and staff described confusion in the subdivision regulations about the applicable deadline and delays caused by unexpected ledge and blasting at the site.
