Commissioner Mike Kirk explained four ordinances intended to update the city electric code to reflect recent state changes on net metering and interconnection; he said the revisions were largely provided through the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA) and are needed for compliance effective July 1. The ordinances were considered individually and each passed by unanimous roll call votes.
