The Yacolt Town Council approved a Conditional Use Permit for the Inspired Learning Center on July 13 after a managed public hearing in which Mayor Ian Shealy recused himself because the applicant is a family member and Councilmember Craig Carroll also recused due to a conflict. Mayor Pro Tem Brandon Russell opened and closed the hearing and the council then moved to approve the permit.
