County backs two Smart Scale applications to improve safety on US 360 intersections

The King and Queen County Board of Supervisors approved two resolutions to support Smart Scale Round 8 funding applications to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The Board authorized submittal of a project to extend median turn lanes and add right-turn lanes at the intersection of US 360 and SR 621 (Bruington Road/Midway Road), and a separate project to add a right-turn lane from US 360 westbound onto Newtown Road (SR 721), extend and offset left-turn lanes, and upgrade the signal.
