Staff asked the commission to recommend a zoning code amendment to Title 14, Chapter 6 to clarify regulations governing balloon and flag signs and to amend freeway sign maintenance rules to remove conflicts with state code. Staff said the changes respond to recent cases heard by the BZA and will align local sign maintenance rules with state requirements before sending the amendment to city council.
