Terrell County ISD reports: FAFSA progress, STAAR/TELPAS testing, athletics updates and yearbook schedule

District staff used the Feb. 18 meeting to update trustees on testing, college readiness, athletics and yearbook scheduling. Counselor Virginia Garza reported seniors are completing FAFSA requirements for graduation, several students will attend college orientation and the district administered a STAAR ELAR field test for grades 3 and 4; TELPAS testing was scheduled for two students the following day. Garza also noted a presentation to high-school students about teen dating violence and that certified staff have mandatory STAAR training on March 2.
