The Monroe County Board on Aug. 19 approved an amendment to Courthouse Security Policy No. 700 that permits pre‑vetted local bar members who execute a no‑weapons waiver and present an issued ID card to bypass weapons screening at the courthouse main entrance. County staff said judges vetted the change and the amended policy includes a provision allowing any chief judge to revoke an individual's clearance on security grounds.
