Strafford County legislators spent the meeting focusing on Riverside Rest Home’s capacity and how the county should provide long-term care. Members exchanged differing views on whether to repair and rebuild the county nursing home or scale back county-bed capacity and rely more on private facilities, and they asked county staff to produce statewide Medicaid projections and regional population forecasts before the next meeting.
