Councilors on Aug. 18 amended and approved a motion to prohibit city staff from negotiating the terms of a lease agreement with American Magnesium. City Manager Aaron Sera said the item responded to a letter of interest from American Magnesium; council members expressed concern that city resources and water should not be used to support the company.
