The Dubois County Council voted 6–1 on March 30, 2026 to adopt a motion initiating Ordinance 2026‑05, which would withdraw the county from the Mid‑States Corridor Regional Development Authority (RDA) effective 12 months from ordinance adoption. Council member Doug Uebelhor moved to adopt the withdrawal ordinance; Alex P. Hohl seconded. Deena J. Lewis cast the lone dissenting vote. Auditor Sandra L. Morton read both versions of the proposed ordinance aloud during the meeting.
