After a public hearing with no public speakers, the Florence Board adopted an ordinance implementing technical corrections to the city zoning ordinances; the adoption incorporated the zoning administrator's written findings and was recorded with Aldermen Herrin, Martin and Sistrunk voting aye and Aldermen Banks and Grantham absent.

The Florence Board of Aldermen on Nov. 4 adopted an ordinance to make technical corrections to the city’s zoning ordinances after a public hearing and incorporation of the zoning administrator’s written findings. City Attorney Bobby Lingold presented the ordinance on the board's recommendation; Alderman Mason Herrin moved and Alderman Brent Sistrunk seconded the motion, which the record shows carried with Aldermen Herrin, Kyle Martin and Sistrunk recorded as voting aye and Aldermen John Banks and Brian Grantham recorded absent. The minutes do not record a vote by Mayor Trey Gunn.
