The full story

County Judge Charlie Bradley and the Schleicher County Commissioners heard a presentation from Shawn Baxter and Rheasonia Hale of the Texas Department of Emergency Management about producing a Hazard Mitigation Plan that would allow the county to apply for available federal and state grants. Baxter and Hale told the court two grant opportunities are available but have approaching deadlines: one expiring March 31, 2025, and the other expiring April 14, 2025. The court took no immediate action and scheduled the item for the March 31, 2025 agenda.
