Planning Commission reports 125 survey responses; overdevelopment is top resident concern

The Planning Commission reported 125 responses to the Comprehensive Plan survey (about 3.2% of the population). Respondents cited field views/open space, community character and school quality as positives; overdevelopment, higher taxes and traffic were top concerns. The Commission will promote the survey to raise response rates.

Planning Commission Chair Kay Ellsworth told the Board on July 15 that 125 responses had been received for the township’s Comprehensive Plan survey, representing approximately 3.2% of the population. She said the Commission will continue promoting the survey on social media to increase participation.
