The building official said permit activity has remained consistent and that larger projects, including proposed solar installations and data centers, have prompted organized citizen opposition. "There's a lot of opposition to like solar projects and data centers and I'm sure you all heard that on the news... the citizens who surround these projects... they're very organized and they're like, we don't want this stuff," the official said, describing recent public reaction and planning commission processes.
