Architects presented construction documents for a new Civil Courts Building conversion; Burns Construction will seek bids the week of Sept. 11 and staff targeted a GMP approval by Nov. 17 and construction start around Dec. 1 with substantial completion projected in spring 2028.

Architects from HOK (Kurt Party) and Parkhill (Jason Bennett) updated Denton County Commissioners Court on the Civil Courts Building construction documents and next steps for contracting. The project converts an existing office building into courthouse space with new secured judicial parking, jury assembly spaces, public meeting rooms and multiple courtroom floors.
