Commission proclaims September 2026 as National Recovery Month
The Saline County Board of Commissioners unanimously proclaimed September 2026 as National Recovery Month after a presentation by Heather Rosine of Pathfinder Community Center and CKF, who described local recovery events and a Sept. 12 carnival-themed celebration.

Heather Rosine, peer mentor with Pathfinder Community Center and CKF, asked the commission to join in proclaiming September 2026 as National Recovery Month, saying “the theme of National Recovery Month is recovery is for everyone.” Rosine described the month-long focus on prevention, access to treatment and celebration of people in recovery, and invited the public to a Sept. 12 carnival‑themed recovery celebration from 5–7 p.m.
