Library switching vendors: staff report extra processing work during move to Ingram
Library managers told trustees the switch from Baker & Taylor to Ingram has improved delivery times but increased staff processing work because items currently arrive without the library’s RFID tags and labels; the library expects invoicing setup to move to prepaid billing later this year.

Manager Treva Higgins briefed trustees on the library’s transition from Baker & Taylor to Ingram as the materials vendor. Higgins said invoices are being processed individually “until the library completes the required setup to transition to a prepaid billing process,” and that staff workload has increased because received items currently require in‑house application of RFID tags, barcodes, spine labels and ownership stamps.
