Commissioners highlight Juneteenth events and veterans program
Commissioners used reports time to promote Juneteenth events, a veterans program led by Denise Clark that honored local veterans, and raised the need for transportation to ensure veterans can attend community events.

During commissioners' reports the board promoted several community events and programs. Commissioner Vivian Saunders invited residents to a Juneteenth celebration on June 19 at 121 Main Street and noted a veterans program presented by Denise Clark at the Council on Aging that honored veterans from Vietnam to Desert Storm. "We had veteran service director from...Martin County present," she said, and encouraged residents to visit the veterans office for assistance.
