Assemblymember Pappan presented AB 22 34 to expand the statutory definition of exploratory geothermal activities to encompass newer technologies and attract developers. Kate Brandenburg of Sonoma Clean Power testified that modernizing the definition is necessary to meet climate goals while maintaining reliability and affordability for ratepayers.
