Executive Director of Operations Steve Mitzel updated the board on artificial intelligence uses in education and district policy work. Mitzel said AI tools are increasingly embedded in instructional platforms and noted the district is drafting policy IKJ to require FERPA and CIPA compliance and to include OSBA recommendations; several school sites have already purchased AI-related tools.
