Grady Slaydon, representing the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), presented an overview of TASB’s Facilities Services program to the Covington I.S.D. Board during the Sept. 8 meeting. Slaydon described the program as an assessment service that inventories buildings and systems, tracks ages and deficiencies, and produces a District Strategic Facilities Plan intended to inform long‑range budgeting.
