The Columbus Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously on March 25, 2026, to interview six applicants for the district superintendent position following a special meeting at the Columbus High School CISD Board Room. Robert Russell, president of the board, and six other trustees were recorded as present when the motion was approved after the board returned from closed session.
