Trustees Reject Zavala Central Appraisal District Preliminary Budget
Following a recommendation from the superintendent, the Board voted to reject the Zavala Central Appraisal District preliminary budget; the motion to approve received no second and the rejection passed 6-0-1.

The Board considered the Zavala Central Appraisal District (ZCAD) preliminary budget during its June 1 meeting. Interim Superintendent Richard W. Grill reported that he had met with the Chief Appraiser and recommended rejection of the preliminary budget so it could be revised. A motion to approve the ZCAD budget received no second; Trustee Ray Espinosa then moved to reject the preliminary budget, Trustee Peggy Young seconded, and the motion carried 6-0-1 with Trustee Cruz Mata recorded as abstaining.
