The Ector County ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Jan. 20 to revise policy EHBE(LOCAL) — Special Programs: Bilingual Education/ESL — to implement a Transitional Bilingual Early‑Exit Model starting in the 2026–27 school year. Trustee Dr. Steve Brown made the motion, Wayne Woodall seconded, and the board approved the change in line with the district’s planned transition.
