Chair Dr. Donald M. Scothorn read a resolution reaffirming the U.S. and Virginia constitutions and declaring Botetourt County a Second Amendment Sanctuary County. The resolution cites the Second Amendment and Article I, §13 of the Virginia Constitution and references District of Columbia v. Heller (554 U.S. 570) in support of the County’s statement of legislative policy.
