Commissioners press for progress on 230 Rd, warn of failing head wall on 140 Rd

Commissioner Jim Gwennap raised an urgent concern about headwall failure on 140 Rd and R Rd, saying the "South head wall is falling off and it is about to be a catastrophe." The board discussed bridge projects, including the bridge on 210 Rd between L Rd and M Rd (engineering report pending), and a bridge on N Rd between 240 Rd and 250 Rd where staff performed locates to allow the blade man to fix an issue. The board also discussed speed-limit signage for 250 Rd, widening field driveways, and scheduling drags on gravel roads east and west of Highway 281.

Staff noted a dead AT&T line affecting operations in one area and said routine procedures (locates, drainage fixes, scraper scheduling) will be coordinated with equipment availability. No formal vote was taken on the individual road projects during the recorded minutes; the session recorded direction and project priorities.
