Commission hears damage estimate after windstorm that closed multiple county roads

Custer County Highway Superintendent Jesse Doyle told the commission Dec. 18 that Hazelrodt Cutoff, Lower French Creek Road and North Playhouse Road remained closed after a windstorm the previous night and that cleanup could take "weeks, possibly months." He said crews were pulled back where utility lines were down and that reopening those roads depends on assessments and coordination with power companies.
