Commission approves multiple final plats, raises building permit fee for 2026
Custer County approved several final plats (lot consolidations, tract adjustments) contingent in one case on a USFS easement, and adopted a building-permit fee increase to $0.30 per sq. ft. for 2026; Commissioner Hartman opposed the fee change.

Planning Director Terri Kester presented multiple final plats for approval and asked the Commission to adopt the 2026 fee and permit rates. The Commission approved plats including Glen Erin Cabin Tract, Makha & Nelson Tracts (contingent on USFS access approval), Sage and Pine Tract of Morning Star Ranch Subdivision, and the Shupe Tract lot split. Motions to approve were seconded and carried with standard roll calls.
