Staff updates subdivision map to flag conservation-equivalent plans

Aug 20, 2026

City planning staff presented an updated subdivision/conservation map and proposed new visual categories to show parcels approved with or without conservation certificates and developments that use their own conservation-equivalent plans; staff offered to publish a public-facing version of the map pending internal sign-off.

The full story

City planning staff presented an updated CV/subdivision map and asked the Conservation Advisory Committee (CAC) for feedback on how to display conservation-equivalent plans (CEP) and similar developer-run programs. Staff proposed labeling parcels as "approved without certificate," "approved with certificate," and a separate color for subdivisions that have their own CEP-equivalent plans and funding sources. "So I I made the C V Subdivision map, and I've kinda heard what you changes you wanna make," the staff member said, inviting committee members to annotate or request an electronic version.
