Simpson County Fiscal Court voted to adopt Resolution No.2026-03-31 on March 31, 2026, setting temporary speed limits on several county roads. Judge Barnes explained the temporary approach via resolution (rather than ordinance) was chosen because limits are not permanent and the resolution corrects a misspelling of 'Peden Road' on the paperwork.
