Three Way ISD Board Approves Termination of Probationary Contract

The Three Way Independent School District Board of Trustees voted 4-0 May 12 to accept a recommendation from Superintendent Teddy Ott to terminate a probationary contract.

"Cody Howle moved that the board of trustees accept the recommendation as presented by the superintendent to terminate a probationary contract in the best interest of the district," Trustee Cody Howle said when making the motion; Trustee Lloyd Lietz seconded, and the motion carried 4-0. Trustee Duanea Armes was recorded as absent.

The board met in a special session that began at 7:30 a.m. and immediately convened into closed session under the Texas Open Meetings Law, citing Texas Government Code Section 551.074, which authorizes deliberation on personnel matters. The board exited closed session and reconvened at 7:49 a.m., then took the vote. The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 a.m.
