Veneta to use DLCD grant and consultant for Housing Implementation Plan and code audit
The Planning Commission heard that a DLCD grant will fund a Housing Implementation Plan and a development-code audit by Cascadia Partners; the work will include outreach, an advisory committee and recommended code amendments to enable housing production.

Associate Planner Daniel Findlay told the Commission that the City received a Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) grant to fund a Housing Implementation Plan (HIP) and a development-code audit; Cascadia Partners is the City's consultant for the project. The HIP will identify underserved households, needed housing types and a menu of strategies the City could take to facilitate production, affordability and choice.
