Staff presented updates to the 2020 TMP including new cross sections, three new projects and cost updates; council discussed near-term interim improvements and long-term options for the RM 967 / FM 1626 intersection and generally expressed preference for an innovative displaced-left-turn design over a full overpass.

City staff and consultant WSB presented a workshop update to Buda's Transportation Mobility Master Plan (TMMP), explaining that the 2020 plan required updates because cost estimates and design criteria had changed and the city had annexed new facilities since adoption. Staff described a set of revised typical sections (including curb-and-gutter, street trees and dedicated bike facilities), removal of two-way left-turn lanes from typical sections, and three new proposed projects: a recommended standard cross section for RM 967 (L69), an upgrade to Old San Antonio Road from Main Street to Manchaca Springs, and a proposed local connector to improve access between Whispering Hollow/Elm Grove and Garlic Creek.
