Code enforcement reports several property citations; rental inspections set to begin

The council’s code enforcement report listed multiple property matters: the owner of 518 4th Street asked whether she could rebuild if the house burned given its three-foot setback from the neighbor; council responded that any rebuilding would have to follow existing ordinance provisions. The owner at 512 5th Street was advised to improve yard cleanup, a property at 5th Avenue and 6th Street was cited for high weeds, and 401 6th Street was referred to the building inspector over a door cut into brick leading to the garage.
