The Eagle River Common Council denied a conditional use permit for Amerco Real Estate Company (U-Haul) to construct four self-storage buildings totaling 51,977 square feet at 1100 N. Railroad Street. Council member Vic Washelesky moved to deny the permit on the grounds that the project exceeds the zoning impervious-surface limit and creates flooding risks; Dan Dumas seconded. The vote carried 2–1 (Ayes: Washelesky, Dumas; Nay: Kim Schaffer).
