Superintendent Dr. Wenzel told the board the draft district improvement plan rests on three core ideas: shifting central office functions to support principals as instructional leaders, building principal leadership capacity, and strengthening teacher collaboration through professional learning communities (PLCs). "These are 3 big ideas that are animating our improvement efforts this year," he said.
