Decatur ISD board approves SRO contract; one trustee abstains
The Decatur ISD Board approved School Resource Officer (SRO) contracts discussed in closed session. The motion passed 6–0 with Trustee Delvon Campbell abstaining due to a conflict of interest with the Decatur Police Department.

The Decatur ISD Board of Trustees approved SRO contracts at its June 16 meeting. Trustee Matt Joiner made the motion to approve the SRO contracts as discussed in closed session; Trustee Jeremy Duncan seconded. The motion passed with six votes in favor and one abstention by Trustee Delvon Campbell, who cited a conflict of interest with the Decatur Police Department.
