ECISD updates Bond 2023 progress; board approves purchases and AIA contract forms

District leaders told the board on Oct. 21 that construction is underway across Bond 2023 projects and that fiscal commitments are substantial. Associate Superintendent Dr. Anthony Sorola reported foundation work has begun at the new Career & Technical Education high school and the project is approximately 5% complete; the new West Odessa middle school has reached about 22% completion with blockwork and mechanical installations underway. Other work in progress includes demolition at the Transition Learning Center site, mechanical/plumbing work at the Permian High School auditorium, offsite fabrication for the Permian JROTC facility, and fencing and early demolition at the agricultural farm facility.
