Contractor reports 15% energy use drop at three county facilities
Dan Newkirk of Alpha Controls told the Ogle County Board that energy use across the Judicial Center Annex, Judicial Center and Public Safety Complex is down about 15% on average over the past six months, with additional savings expected as battery backups and other measures come online.

Dan Newkirk, identified as Director of Energy Solutions for Alpha Controls, presented facility energy costs and an evaluation of potential savings from energy reduction projects. He told the board that "energy use is down on average 15% over the past six months across three different sites, the Judicial Center Annex, the Judicial Center and the Public Safety Complex."
