Douglas Randolph, speaking for the Piedmont Area Veterans Council, described the nonprofit's services to veterans across eight counties and thanked Charlotte County for past support. Randolph said the council purchased a building in 2024 and provided roughly $555,000 in assistance last year for veterans’ needs including home repairs and benefit navigation.
