Perth schedules public hearings on moratoria for battery storage and wind facilities
The Town Board scheduled public hearings for Feb. 6, 2025 to introduce two local laws: a moratorium on Battery Energy Storage Facilities (Local Law 1-2025) at 6:05 p.m. and a moratorium on Wind Energy Facilities (Local Law 2-2025) at 6:10 p.m.

The Town Board voted to schedule public hearings on two proposed local laws concerning energy facilities. Resolution #28 schedules a Feb. 6, 2025 hearing at 6:05 p.m. to introduce Local Law 1-2025, a moratorium on Battery Energy Storage Facilities. Resolution #29 schedules a Feb. 6, 2025 hearing at 6:10 p.m. to introduce Local Law 2-2025, a moratorium on Wind Energy Facilities. Both resolutions were offered by Councilman Lewandowski, seconded by Councilman Fisher, and approved unanimously.
