Donnie Spradlin briefed the council on code-enforcement items and reported he will be on vacation the week of May 19; Mayor Pro Tem Jimmy Quick agreed to perform cement inspections during Spradlin's absence. The council recorded that removing a property owner's tree that is encroaching on a city fence is the property owner's responsibility and that taxpayer funds will not be used for removal.
