Sheriff Monty Hughey and Chase Andrews, director of the Substance Abuse Centers of Kansas (SACK), presented a contract renewal for in-custody treatment that allows incarcerated individuals to continue treatment with the same counselors after release. Officials said the program supports recidivism reduction by providing a continuous counseling relationship between incarceration and reentry.
