Madison County approves GAI contract to design replacement of Bridge 41
Commissioners approved an engineering design contract to replace Bridge 41 (County Road 1050 S over Lake Creek). The project is estimated at $4.37 million with an 80% federal award; the county's 20% local match is approximately $874,000.

The county engineer reported that Bridge 41, originally built in 1930 with a timber deck added in 1988, showed "significant age related deterioration" including timber rot and section loss, and recommended replacement rather than continued repairs.
