Committee backs $380,202 data backup licensing contract split with Allen County

Finance Chair Nathan Harper presented S260707, an ordinance to purchase hardware and software licenses for backup and restore services from Elevate Technology Partners with a total not to exceed $380,202.50. Bob Feeley, the city CIO, told the committee the cost is shared: Civil City 40% ($152,081), Allen County 40% ($152,081) and City Utilities 20% ($76,040.50). "So that's the reason this costs as much as it does because we are pushing a lot of data in," Feeley said, explaining the city backs up roughly 67 petabytes every single week.
