Subcommittee pledges to draft options for proving mailing dates, funding outreach and statutory fixes

Chair Tepper closed both panels by asking stakeholders to collaborate with committee counsel and staff to craft statutory language and operational fixes. The chair said the committee will look for any practical technical solutions to prove mailing dates and stressed the committee's commitment to resolving issues before January bill filing deadlines: "So this committee is committed to finding out any and all ways we can prove when something was mailed."
